DomCo designed a scalable smart automation ecosystem built for homes, hotels, new construction, and integrator-led deployments, spanning in-wall audio, touch-screen control panels, smart dimmer switches, lighting and scene control, climate/HVAC control, mobile apps, server software, and the mechanical, electrical, and firmware systems behind the connected product family.
Challenge
Building a scalable smart automation ecosystem
The ecosystem needed to bring many connected product categories into one expandable system, including in-wall audio, touch-screen control panels, smart dimmer switches, lighting and scene control, climate/HVAC control, mobile apps, and server software. It also had to support integrator-led installation, future product expansion, and real deployment conditions in premium homes, hotels, renovations, and new construction.
Engineering Approach
End-to-end ecosystem engineering
DomCo designed the mechanical systems, electrical and electronic hardware, embedded firmware, iOS app, Android app, and server software that tied the ecosystem together. The work included product-family architecture, IP-based communication, touch-screen and mobile control behavior, smart switch and dimmer logic, audio and climate device integration, installer setup workflows, training support, and on-site support for the ecosystem's pilot production installation.
Outcome
Pilot production of the ecosystem deployed in the field
The first pilot production of the ecosystem was installed in a premium hospitality environment, bringing smart switches, lighting and scene control, touch-screen interfaces, in-wall audio, climate control, mobile access, server-backed coordination, and installer workflows into one field-deployed ecosystem. The project demonstrates DomCo's ability to engineer a complex IoT product family from device hardware through firmware, apps, backend software, installation, and on-site support.

DomCo supported Throwee Pro from concept through production preparation, developing a compact environmental sensor for calibrated local monitoring, offline-first operation, and smart-home integration.

DomCo helped modernize an existing under-desk fitness product portfolio by developing the custom electronics, embedded firmware, and BLE mobile app API needed to add Bluetooth connectivity and app-enabled behavior across multiple product tiers.
